Due Diligence kit

Good afternoon!

I am currently working with a group of long-term unemployed people to devise a potential social enterprise for solving food system issues.

I have been told that there was a ‘due diligence kit’ specifically designed for use by this type of venture that was in use quite recently.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this kit, or be able to point me in the right direction for further information please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Dean - do you know any more about who used it, whether it was locally-developed, used in a particular city, etc? Might help us hive mind and track it down!

There’s the very successful Local Food Launchpad which helps people go through the steps of setting up a social enterprise to solve food system issues. That’s run twice in-person, and @david is now in the process of working with the Open Food Network to turn that into an online course which people can either self-guide through, or can do with a group online.

@dean you are all over launchpad materials I think  So it sounds like you are looking for something slightly different than covered by that curriculum. More hints would be useful. But maybe you could also ask http://www.socialventures.com.au/ or the new social enterprise team at the econ dev dept in vic http://economicdevelopment.vic.gov.au/about-us/overview/strategies-and-initiatives/social-enterprise I had a quick look and neither seem to have (easy to find) specific resources, but might be worthwhile putting in email. They both deal with more traditional and general social enterprise sector…
