Free To Feed is a Thornbury-based social enterprise enabling conversation, learning and exchange of food cultures over the common ground that is a feasting table. Through their mobile cooking classes, Free To Feed provides refugees with mentoring and training, a wage, transitions to other meaningful employment, and, crucially, the opportunity to form genuine connections with new communities.
In 2018, Free To Feed will be growing its Melbourne team, scaling its operations, launching in Sydney and kicking off some new and exciting food enterprises.
We’re looking for someone very special to join our team, a little bit of an all-rounder who’s going to share the workload of this growing social enterprise.
We’re a small social enterprise trying to make a big impact. Together, we’ll work hard, laugh a lot, brainstorm nonstop, stretch ourselves and get shit done. If this feels like a good fit for you, if you’re passionate about food and refugees, and are ready to commit, we encourage you to apply.
We will continue to be the best cooking school in Melbourne (and soon Sydney), provide a magical customer experience and life-changing employment opportunities to refugees and people seeking asylum.
This is a part-time role offering 20 hours per week. We are looking for the successful applicant to ideally spread these hours across 4 days. The right person will be flexible with work hours to accommodate Free To Feed event schedules.
