Classification: ANU Officer 6/7
Salary package: $83,223 - $87,570 per annum + 17% superannuation
Term: Full-Time, Continuing (Contingent Funding).

The Fenner School of Environment and Society is unique in Australia, carrying out research and teaching in a wide range of ecological and socio-economic disciplines. There are very few places in the world where economists and hydrologists, historians and ecologists, foresters, geographers and climatologists work together on the big environmental problems facing contemporary society.

As the Projects Coordinator, you will be working across two large-scale research projects, contributing to environmental, social and economic improvement for Australia. Specifically you will contribute to the maintenance of the already established Long Term Ecological Research Network Facility and assist in planning and implementation of the newly formed Sustainable Farms Initiative.

The multi-institutional Long Term Ecological Research Network will need your ability to build successful working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, under the broad direction of the Initiatives Director. You will support the strategic goals of not only the Network, but also those of the School and wider ANU community.

The Sustainable Farms Initiative is where you will get to make things happen, this project is where you can showcase your initiative and your ability to create impactful projects. Also working under the guidance of the Initiatives Director, you will have autonomy to oversee the establishment of branding and various communications platforms. You will contribute to the overall planning of the project and the establishment of effective performance measures. You will also undertake a range of administrative tasks from organising demonstration farm events, to maintaining budgets and maintaining Workplace Health Safety standards.

As with any type of project management position you have done in the past, you will need a variety of skills and experience. To be truly successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your initiative and display your ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, communicate effectively and maintain a high level of organisational skill.
