US small-scale farmers

Hi all,
I’m off to the States in a couple of weeks to complete a Fellowship that looks into the systems and processes of farmers’ markets. I’ll be in the States from the 11 June - 22 August.
I’ll be working with FM organisations in San Fran & NYC areas… I’m also really keen to visit/wwoof on small scale farms around these areas… Does anyone have any suggestions and/or contacts with farmers to engage with?
Thanks!
Prue :pig2:

Any thoughts @tammois @jademiles2 ?

Ben falk is based in vermont and wrote the resilient farm and homestead.
Ben hewitt wrote the town that food saved and is also in vermont. Both are
incredible whole system thinkers and would be worth seeking out. Miracle
farms are just on the border of the usa near montreal and his small acre
property is pushing boundaries…well worth checking out but they require
forwarning of your visit. Vermont is filled to the brim w food co ops worth
visiting…battleborough in particular. Also worth looking at mad river
food co op and processing facility. Have an amazing trip prue. Jade
