Victorian food systems jobs

There are a number of great food systems jobs available through the Working For Victoria scheme:

  1. From Port Philip Westernport CMA: 3 Farms2Schools officers- seeking awesome confident event coordinators with bonus points for a background in education and/or agriculture. The 3 positions should be in the Community Services Youth worker category. Interested applicants need to have a working with children check as a prerequisite so this can be applied for tonight or before submitting the job application. Applicants need to apply asap as we are not able to see all of the applicants to choose from so first in is more likely to get into the pool we are able to choose from.

Let your contacts know if you think they would be suitable for the roles.

Please also let farmers know they can send an EOI to host excursions (hopefully term 4) or come along to schools in term 3 and 4 as an incursion. Details here: https://www.ppwcma.vic.gov.au/what-we-do/sustainable-agriculture/farms2schools/

We are also recruiting for a works crew coordinator. Same process as above but the job will be in the Environmental labourer category. It’s a coordination role but that’s the best fit category we could choose to make sure the job gets noticed. The coordinator role will be responsible for the logistics and work schedule for 6 crews across the region (3 Ag and 3 environmental).

  1. From Whittlesea Food Collective:
We are looking for ten fabulous people who want to work with Whittlesea Community Connections for 6 months – these roles are possible through the Victorian Government’s Working for Victoria program which provides funding for us to employ people. Council are helping us manage this process.
