Mark Sanders is a passionate food grower and community organiser helping create sustainable opportunities for people to grow food together.
He co-founded not-for-profit Moreland Community Gardening in 2010. Their volunteers have revitalised a West Brunswick food forest and community garden forging close ties with community and local council along the way and just started work on the Pentridge Community Garden.
In 2010 Mark helped establish the Moreland Food Gardens Network to support community collaboration and knowledge sharing and to advocate for improved food access and more urban agriculture. He remains an organiser with the network. Since 2014 he has been part of a group working towards a Food Systems Strategy for the City of Moreland.
